Job Title: Web Developer

Location: Gainesville, GA


SUMMARY

The Web Developer is responsible for participating in the design and development of web applications

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in the design and development of web applications

  • Work closely with development team to determine application requirements and recommend solutions

  • Assist in writing or revising technical design documentation

  • Ability to work effectively (maintaining accuracy and sensitivity) under tight timelines and schedules

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of best practices for cross-platform, cross-browser compatibility

  • Hands-on experience with web application architecture and relational database design

  • UI talent for creating user-friendly layout design and typography

  • Strong communication and analytical skills

  • Familiarity with popular design patterns and their application

  • Web services: XML, SOAP, WSDL, REST, consuming + hosting

  • Knowledge of Microsoft MVC a plus

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent

  • 3+ years of designing, developing, and deploying web applications preferred

  • Develop software in .Net and SQL

  • UI development using JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Requires sitting, standing and occasional light lifting
