Emergency medications are provided via access to the ProCare HospiceCare hospice network with 24-hour pharmacies in your geographic area or via distribution of CarePaks for emergency medications.
Our HospiceCare Kit contains products that are readily available for continuous care patients to ensure comfort for the most common end-of-life symptoms. These kits can be customized for various disease states, like cardiac and seizure.
Below is the list of medications contained in the standard Care Kit:
- Acetaminophen suppository 650mg
- Haloperidol 2mg/ml solution
- Furosemide 40mg tablet
- Aspirin suppository 650mg
- Lorazepam 1mg tablet
- Atropine 1% ophthalmic drops
- Morphine concentrated solution
Wound Care Kit
ProCare HospiceCare can also provide a Wound Care Kit that includes the following: Colloidal Antibiotic Solution (100ml), 4 X 4 Gauze (12), Zinc Oxide ointment (4oz) and Wintergreen Oil.
